- New York State Appellate Divisions (admitted to the Second Department on 5/17/1995);
- United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (admitted on 5/30/1995);
- United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York (admitted on 6/01/1995);
- The United States Supreme Court (admitted on 4/28/2003);
Mr. Steinberger’s admission to the U.S. Supreme Court was sponsored by the Hon. Judge Edward R. Korman, then chief judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and by the late Hon. Justice Alfred D. Lerner, of the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department.
